We all have flaws in our character and our actions. It is a huge benefit when you can reflect on your flaws and try to improve them. One flaw for me is that I block myself from expressing my creativity. I come up with ideas and never execute them. I think it is because I am afraid that it won’t be successful or that I won’t like the outcome. I need to work on changing this so that I will have a successful career rather than wishing I had one.  One way that I can change this is by starting with smaller ideas and finishing them through all the way to the end. Even if it is a fail, I can learn from what went wrong with the idea and apply it towards a different or bigger idea. Another thing that I can do is stopping thinking about the outcome and more about what and why I am following through with my idea.

Ideal Work Space

Technology

The iMac is a definite must for my workplace. As well as CDs and Flash drives for storage. To back up all of my material I will need at least 2 different external hard drives.

 

Work Surface

A desk is very important, especially when a good portion of your work is done on the computer. I like that it faces towards the room rather than wall. I can’t get any work done when my back is facing everything. This desk would work better for me in a darker color like an espresso brown or a black.

 

 

 

Storage and Organization

This storage bar will help with organization of my desk.

 

 

 

 

I would use this file storage to keep customer records, model release form, and other forms.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I would use this storage unit for office supplies and equipment.

 

 

 

Flooring

I would love to have this barn wood flooring. It would look amazing in photos.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lighting

Natural lighting would be the most ideal for working because other lighting would give me too much of a headache when working on a computer. When it gets dark out other lighting would help. The track lights would be used to illuminate the photographs on the wall.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Walls

I love the look of the giant pictures on the wall. This would be a great idea to display my work for my clients to see in the waiting area and in my office. I like the idea of the grey wall because you can put any type of picture up with it and the photograph wouldn’t lose any quality. However I would prefer a lighter grey so that my office isn’t too dark.

 

 

 

 

Waiting Area

I love the look of this couch for the waiting area. Because it is leather type material it would be fairly easy to clean. I would also have a coffee table with wedding magazines for the clients to read while they wait.

 

 

 

 

 

Other

I would also need a bathroom for my clients to use, so I would need running water, toilet paper, and paper towels.

My ideal location would be in a greener area of Arizona, like in Prescott or Sedona, with a view of the trees. I would also like to be accessible from the road so that it is easy for my clients to find.

I would also do all of my work in the office and finish everything that I need to do there or in the field. I do not want to have to worry about work while I am at home. However I will have a back up of all of my digital files on a hard drive at my home.

I recently found a post on pinterest with a picture that said, “Be you tiful.” Seeing that really got me thinking about what beauty is. One of the most important things in the world is to remember who you are. You are the only one that can be you. So don’t go along thinking I’m going to be Julianne Hough. You can get the haircut, workout and eat healthy to be like her, but you are still you and that is what make you beautiful. No two people are exactly alike and that is what makes the world such an interesting and beautiful place. Imagine if everyone looked like one person, how boring would that be?

It’s Time For Me

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have a very busy life, I go to school full time and I work full time as a bartender. Between going to school, doing homework, working, having a boyfriend, and exercising, it is difficult to make time for myself. When I am not doing any of that I sleep. My social life you ask? Well I consider working out or working my social time. As a bartender I get to talk to my friends and talk to new people everyday. At those times when my brain is fried from studying, my body is tired from working, and I just feel like I need a break that is when I make time for myself. When I make time for myself I either take a nice relaxing bath with a glass of wine, I go get my nails done, or I put my head phones in and work on editing photos. When I am editing photos I go into another world and focusing on what I am doing and somehow I find that very relaxing. I try to make time for myself at least once a week. I think I would go crazy if I didn’t take the time to take care of my emotional self.

Being happy is very important in anyone’s life. When you are happier and smile your good attitude will pass on to others. Something that I do to make myself feel happier is that I find positive things that I love about myself like my eyes or my smile. If you find it hard to find something positive then do something positive. Get a good workout in, eat healthy, accomplish something you have been meaning to do, or take some time to yourself. When I have alone time I find that taking a bath is perfect and relaxing and I feel so much better afterwards. Making yourself happy is important for your health and well-being, so make sure you try every day and love life.

 

Sweet Tooth Fix

I am currently taking steps to make myself more confident and feel beautiful. One step I am taking to feeling better about myself is eating healthier. When you eat healthier you look healthier and think more positively about yourself. Since I have started eating healthier (it has been about a month or two) I notice I feel better about myself and it makes my workouts more affective. When I eat unhealthy junk like burgers or cookies I feel either sick or guilty that I putting bad stuff in my body. Because I have a sweet tooth, I tried this recipe last night that I found at The Fit Cookie. I changed it up a bit because I had a couple of different ingredients.  It doesn’t have any sugar, dairy, or eggs!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1/2 cup dried dates
1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut, 1/2 cup for coating
1 Tbs chia seeds
1 Tbs chopped almonds
1/4 cup cooked quinoa

Chop up the dried dates in a food processor. Combine all ingredients. Roll into a small ball. Then roll in shredded coconut for coating. Place on a cookie sheet or in a container and refrigerate!

I am a 20 (almost 21!) year old Arizona State University student. I am a very observant person, always looking at the details and wondering how they got that way or why were they designed that way. In middle school I knew I loved art, but I wasn’t very good at drawing or sculpting. Finally in high school, I took a photography class and found out that this was want I wanted to be doing. I could focus on details of things and share with others how I saw them and how beautiful everything is.
